One thing I’ve come to learn during the lockdown, is there’s loads of time for self-reflection. Then again, only if you allow yourself the time. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of lockdown. It leads to nothingness.

You might’ve heard people saying “Yes, this is a great time to re-evaluate your business”. “Take the time to reassess and redirect your business”.

They obviously know what they’re talking about. They are a few steps ahead of me, so let’s do this 💪.

Now, almost 3 weeks into the lockdown, I found myself fallen prey to the busyness of lockdown.
I was so occupied on working my business, that I forgot about people. And I had to stop and remind myself.
I don’t want this shit as part of my business! I don’t want to spend hours on social media content. I don’t want to spend hours of research content and writing blogs.

I WANT TO HELP YOU! I want to sit down with you and be a listening ear. I want to give you a safe environment where you can leave their old mind behind. Most of all, I want to see how you emerge into a beautiful butterfly.

I want to work with people.

Did you know that the pupa stage of a butterfly is one of the most extraordinary stages of a butterfly’s life? The butterfly forms themselves into a pupa, once the caterpillar reaches their full length/weight. It reminded me.

Just when you think you have it all together, you have done enough growth and self-discovery, something amazing happens.

You grow more.
You become a pupa. From the outside it seems like nothing is happening. But on the inside, that is where things change.
Within the pupa, the old body parts of the caterpillar undergo a remarkable transformation. Also called metamorphosis.
By the time the butterfly emerges from the pupa, tissue, limbs and organs of the caterpillar have all been changed by the time it’s ready to fly out in the open. Isn’t that amazing? I found that fascinating.
Metamorphosis is an important aspect of Greek mythology. The ability to transform your body is found in all the stories of gods like Arachne, Zeus, and Daphne.
Like the story of Arachne. Arachne was a mortal. She was the best mortal weaver. Even she thought she was as good as some of the other gods.
The gods were the best at everything. Arachne thought she was as good as the god Athene. Athene was the god of the arts. When Athene heard this, she challenged her to a contest.

Like good old sibling rivalry, the winner would choose the losers punishment. Arachne accepted the challenge and started weaving. Her work was no match for Athene. Athene weaved about stories that happened to the gods. Archane knew she lost.

While everybody in the crowd was hooked on Athene’s work, Archane went and hung herself. Her body soon shriveled up and had eight legs. That’s how the Greeks explained the way spiders came to be.
Kind of a horror story, but, still. Metamorphoses is a powerful process that reflected some sort of remarkable transformation.
I had the same journey. Just as you think you have got it all together,  something else comes along. Stops you completely. So that you can grow into something far more beautiful and powerful.
And that reminded me today. I have one job, and one job alone.

And that is to serve you!🙏
