Dynamic life planning
I have a confession to make.
I’ve never been big on goal planning and creating life visions. I mean, I knew what I wanted, but I’ve never sat down, took the time to create a road map on how I’m going to get there. I have been part of goal planning on a regular basis when I was still in corporate. I did goal planning for the company, for my division, for my staff. Yet, I’ve never created a blueprint for my own life.
Ouch. What a realization. It’s going to change a lot of things for me over the next few weeks.
The one with the most hope, has the most influence.
So needless to say, I realized it’s time I get my shit together.
I work on life visions and dynamic life plans with my clients. Why didn’t I do it for myself? I have many ambitions, some somewhere I stopped achieving them.
I HAD MANY AMBITIONS FOR MY LIFE, BUT SOMEWHERE I STOPPED ACHIEVING THEM.
So even though I’m achieving some of them, I would love to achieve more and I know I can. And I do set goals once in a while, but somehow I forget about them or just quit them too early.
So here I am, busy with my own dynamic life planning. I know the planning will help me to establish a clear vision of what I want to do with my life. I know it’s pointless to have ambition if you have no idea how to reach them. I know I will stay motivated by putting a plan into action. And I also know I have to monitor my progress, take appropriate action steps, and stay focussed. It is easy to get distracted by life’s everyday challenges.
I will share some insights in my Facebook group as I move along. Come and join us there. Perhaps you always wanted to learn something new. Maybe you can put some goals together to help you focus on increasing your present value to others.
Maybe you want to overcome bad habits, such as eating healthier so that you can set an example for your kids.
A common mistake many people make is they attempt to achieve what “everyone else” is trying to achieve, and hope to get “what everyone else” is getting.
Your life vision and your goals are unique to you.
Goalsetting and life planning will allow you to define meaningful personal targets that are important to you. And you alone. Nobody else can make those plans for you.
When you die, someone else is going to write on your tombstone. How you live your life now, will determine what they are going to write. Give them something awesome to write about.
I know what I want. But I have no idea how I’m going to get there. But I’m sure as hell going to fix that and figure that out over the next week.
See you inside the group! ✌️
